Diagnosing Prostate Problems
Only your doctor can tell if you have Enlarging Prostate. Your doctor can detect an enlarged prostate by:
- Performing a digital rectal exam (DRE)
- Ordering a Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test
- Evaluating your urinary symptoms
During a DRE, the doctor inserts a gloved and lubricated finger into the anus. The doctor can identify an enlarged prostate or if there is anything unusual on the surface of the prostate.
Take the Prostate Health Assessment and discuss the findings with your doctor during your next visit.
