Causes and Symptoms of Enlarging Prostate
The chance of developing Enlarging Prostate increases with age. After age 50, nearly half of all men will have Enlarging Prostate. What´s more, at least 80% of men will have Enlarging Prostate by the time they are 80 years old.
In addition to aging, another cause of an enlarged prostate is thought to be the male hormone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is made in the prostate gland. For men with Enlarging Prostate, DHT levels continue to increase, causing the prostate to grow beyond a healthy size.
